The genres rank from contemporary and provocative theatre, dance and multimedia performances made by artists from Europe, Angola, Algeria, Morocco, Ukraine, the USA, Canada and Ivory Coast to a synoptic exhibition of the most interesting projects in contemporary visual arts, discussions on current topics regarding art, architecture and urbanism, guided walks in Karlín or premieres of site-specific theatre performances of the leading Czech companies – VOSTO5 theatre, Masopust, VerTeDance, or Spitfire Company.

The program also includes the premiere of Nothing Sad, which was made in cooperation of VerTeDance and director Petra Tejnorová. It is a dance play inspired by astronomer Johannes Kepler’s essay On the Six-Cornered Snowflake, which is also a play with energy, physicality and organization.

The festival is the first organization, which opens one floor of Kasárna Karlín (Karlín Barracks) – this year’s festival center. The program is also presented in Archa Theatre, Ponec, Alfred ve dvoře and ALTA Studio. This year’s 4+4 Days in Motion takes place thanks to the cooperation with the Kasárna Karlín cultural center, the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic and the Prague 8 district.
